Modification of the renal toxicity of cis Dichlorodiammineplatinum (II) with furosemide in male F344 rats
Whatever the mechanism responsible for modifying the acute nephrotoxicity of DDP, the animal model used for studying it has been utilized for investigating the effect of furosemide on the multiple-dose administration of DDP. It has been demonstrated that furosemide pretreatment prevents the chronic renal failure induced by weekly administration of DDP.
