Null ellipticity in magneto-optics

Abstract
We determine the relationship between the photon, cyclotron, collision and plasma frequencies which ensures a null ellipticity for electromagnetic wave propagation in a free-carrier magnetoplasma. A comparison is made with the condition for null Faraday rotation. © 1981.
