Abstract

The construction and operation of an ammeter for the measurement of supercurrents is described. The ammeter consists of an LC circuit whose inductance is modulated by the proximity of a niobium diaphragm which is deflected away from a current carrying conductor. Resulting changes in its resonant frequency are related to the magnitude of the current in the conductor. Calibration and alternate methods of operation are described. © 1975.
