Macroscopic limit of the microscopic SU(3)SO(3) integrity basis interaction

Abstract

It is shown that a fourth degree SU(3)SO(3) integrity basis interaction, encountered in both fermion and boson theories of nuclear structure, maps onto an axially symmetric rotor Hamiltonian for a special linear combination of the third (LQL) and fourth (LQQL) order scalar operators. © 1986 The American Physical Society.
