Exact solution for N-coupled symmetric rotors
The N-coupled symmetric rotor problem is solved exactly by using an infinite-dimensional algebra. A formalism for solving the corresponding Hamiltonian eigenvalue problem is also proposed. The system of equations that solves a special Hamiltonian eigenvalue problem is shown to yield coupling coefficients of the corresponding Lie algebra.
