Abstract
Using the variational characterization for the effective elasticity tensor of imperfectly bonded composites, introduced by us in [4], we obtain bounds on the effective elasticity of the composite. These are used to predict size effect phenomena for monodisperse and polidisperse suspensions of spheres with interfacial slip.
