Abstract
I wish I could buy a single cigarette so I had a reason to think about you is an exhibition created around the idea of the subjective and intersubjective nature of installation art. The exhibition is broken down into three main areas: The Universe Meat Shop, the painting gallery, and the bar and lounge. Each area focuses on different ways people experience the world and how contextualizing artwork through installation can guide the viewer to have a more personal experience with the work. This essay aims to give insight into the artist’s subjective experience with the work in the exhibition.
