Abstract

Rabbit in the Moon is a novel which explores questions of sacrifice and survival such as: “Is anything ever gained from the act of self-sacrifice?” and “At what point does a person lose the will to survive?” Utilizing the Korean folktale of the moon rabbit as its framework, this novel examines the different ways its characters attempt to survive immense grief with varying degrees of success.
