Abstract
Discussion on "a uniform concept of reactive power of nonslnusoidal currents In a time-domain, ' by Prof. Adam Skopec and dr. inz. Czeslaw Stec, published in Przeglad Elektrotechniczny, R. 84, Nr. 6/2008, is presented. The concept results in Budeanu reactive power definition in time-domain. Originally, it was defined in the frequency-domain. It is pointed out in this discussion that Budeanu reactive and distortion powers misinterpret power phenomena in electrical circuits and, after eighty years since the Budeanu reactive and distortion powers were introduced to electrical engineering, these two powers do not provide either cognitive or practical applications. It was also shown that presently, only the frequency-domain approach makes Identification of power phenomena in electrical circuits possible".
