Correlations between heterocycle ring size and x-ray spectra
The resonances observed in the continuum region of XANES spectra were found to be affected by changes in bond angle. By examining ring systems which include a different number of methylene subunits, a wide range of bond angles was found to be experimentally accessible. This dependence of shape resonant continuum dynamics on bond angle was observed for dissimilar systems.
