Abstract
The synthesis and spectroscopic properties of Zn(II)-phthalocyanines containing up to eight tri(ethylene glycol) groups are described. These pegylated-phthalocyanines are highly soluble in polar solvents and might find application as fluorescence imaging and/or photosensitizing agents for PDT.
