Abstract
© 1989 SPIE. All rights reserved. The biological activity of a series of porphyrin dimers and trimers with ester and ether linkages, related to Photofrin II and some new photosensitizers with better optical properties are discussed. The structure and biological activity of a large number of photosensitizers, recently reported in the literature, are also reviewed.
