Chemical systems for exploration of high magnetic field effects
A review is given of molecules that may exhibit observable structural or electronic changes at accessible pulsed magnetic fields. There is an emphasis on structural changes that modulate the ultraviolet-visible spectrum. Transition-metal dimers with quadruple bonds are recommended for testing in magnetic fields on the order of 1000 Tesla. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
