Abstract
A bacterium with strong antimicrobial activity was characterized as a member of the genus Pseudomonas. The mass spectroscopy spectrum of the crystalline antibiotic obtained from the Pseudomonas filtrate was identical to that of tropolone (1), as were the uv, ir, pmr and cmr spectra. © 1980, American Chemical Society.
